Carmi Police arrested a Carmi-White County High School student on Tuesday after a fight in the auditorium.
The 17 year old female juvenile was taken into custody after it was reported she attacked another student just after 8 am. The two students were separated by school staff and the student was escorted to the office and then transported to the Police Department, where she was taken into custody on charges of disorderly conduct and battery.
The student was later released into the custody of her mother.
