Lottie Lindsey is honest about her troubles. It started out rough.
I was raised here in Carmi. I was born to my mom and my biological father. He left when I was 6 ½ months old, never heard from him again. So I dealt with that my whole life wondering why. When I was a year and a half old, my mom married my dad Donnie Bolerjack. He adopted me when I was 8. He passed away when he was 59. But he was my rock. He was just the best thing ever. They had another daughter, but he treated me just like I was his own.
She’s written a book centered around her journey from despair and learning from mistakes to becoming a more positive person she says thanks to the Lord. Lindsey spoke to Kiwanis on Thursday. Lottie now lives in Goreville, loves watching eagles, and wants to share with others “Soaring Along with God’s Love”. The 130-page biography details how Lindsey used and continues to rely on scripture to keep a positive outlook.
You can find her book on Amazon and she also has a facebook page, the same as the book’s title. Visit to learn more.
