A Carmi man was sentenced to five years in prison Monday in White County Court. 56 year old Charlie E Newman received the jail term on one charge of unlawful delivery of methamphetamine. In addition to prison time, Newman will also be under court supervised release for two years following incarceration and was ordered to pay all mandatory fines, fees, costs and assessments.
