Carmi Man Heading to Incarceration

Carmi Man Heading to Prison

 

A Carmi man was sentenced to four years in an Illinois Department of Corrections Facility following a hearing in White County Circuit Court Wednesday.

White County State’s Atttorney Denton Aud reported 22 year old James L. Parker, will serve four years on a charge of retail theft, a Class 4 felony. Parker will also serve one year mandatory supervised release.

Aud explained that Parker had previously been on Second Chance Probation, with that probation being revoked and he was recommended to Impact Incarceration Program, commonly known as Boot Camp.

Parker was represented by Public Defender Brian Shinkle.

The Honorable Judge T. Scott Webb presided over the hearing.

Carmi Police Department was the investigating agency in the case.
