Carmi Police arrested 34 year old Jesse Stephens of Carmi on three White County warrants Tuesday afternoon, after he was spotted leaving an apartment on North Main Cross Street. 
Stephens had been wanted on charges of failure to appear, domestic battery, and criminal trespass to property. After being taken into custody at 1:15pm, he was additionally charged with obstructing justice, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and a new charge of criminal trespass to property.
Stephens was transported to the White County Jail, and is being held without bond on the new charges pending a court hearing. The three previous warrants carry a combined bond amount of $3225.
