Carmi City Council has quick meeting to wrap up July

The Carmi City Council met briefly on Tuesday evening for their second July meeting, but with no agenda items, wrapped up business in only four minutes.

The Council approved the July 5th meeting minutes and unanimously approved the July financial reports and vendor invoices.

Mayor Jeff Pollard did announce that Burrell Street should be open to through traffic by Wednesday afternoon, as Howell Paving was set to pour the asphalt at the railroad crossing to finish the construction project earlier in the day.

With no other reports from the Mayor or standing committees, the meeting adjourned at 5:34pm.  The City Council will meet again on August 2 at 5:30pm.
