Busy weekend for Carmi Police

32 year old Dawn Schexnayder of Carmi surrendered herself at the Carmi Police Department Friday afternoon on a St. Clair County warrant for possession of methamphetamine.  Schexnayder was transferred to Jail staff at 3:12 pm, and was later released after posting a $2000 bond.

Carmi Police arrested 28 year old Zachary Veatch of Carmi Friday evening for use of a prohibited substance.  Veatch was taken into custody at 6:03 pm on East Main Street and transported to the White County Jail.  He was later released after posting a $150 bond.

35 year old Ricky Robertson of Sims was arrested by Carmi Police following a traffic stop Friday night.  Sims was pulled over at the intersection of 3rd and Stewart Streets and taken into custody at 7:19 pm on a Wayne County warrant.  Robertson was also charged with driving on a suspended license, operation of an uninsured motor vehicle, and cited for possession of cannabis.  He was released from the White County Jail after posting a total bond amount of $900.

Saturday morning, 38 year old Shannon Nausley of Carmi surrendered at the Carmi Police Department on an Edwards County warrant for theft.  Nausley was processed at the White County Jail at 8:30 am and was released after posting a $1500 bond.

24 year old Chasity Thorpe of Owensboro, Kentucky was arrested by Carmi Police on a charge of retail theft.  Thorpe was confronted by an employee of Dollar General in the parking lot at 9 am, and Thorpe fled the scene and scaled a fence to escape.  She was later located and taken into custody at 10:05 am.  At that time she was also charged with possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.  Thorpe is being held at the White County Jail in lieu of a $150 bond on the theft charge.

Sunday afternoon, Carmi Police arrested 32 year old Jarred Bolin of McLeansboro after a traffic stop in the Pizza Hut parking lot.  Bolin was a passenger in the vehicle and was taken into custody on a Hamilton County warrant at 2:27 pm.  He is being held in lieu of a $1000 bond at the White County Jail.
