Boil Order for Portion of Carmi
City of Carmi Water Plant Operator Van Scott informed WROY/WRUL News a regional broadband internet service provider hit a water main break Wednesday.
Due to the break, which occurred at the corner of Burrell and Oak, the city has issued a boil order for all Carmi water customers west of 12th street to 1716 Oak Street until further notice.
Folks living in Sunnybrook Meadows are also affected by the boil order.
Customers will need to boil water for human consumption until further notice.

Van Scott said his department will do everything possible to try and have the boil order lifted by this Memorial Day weekend.
Again, Carmi water customers, west of 12th street up to 1716 Oak Street and Sunnybrook Meadows are on a boil water order until further notice.
