Pro Life Enthusiasts will have the opportunity to enjoy “An evening with Abby Johnson” as the activist comes to Carmi on Saturday, July 27th. Johnson previously worked at Planned Parenthood as a clinic director, but resigned in 2009. Johnson’s memoir Unplanned was made into a movie. The event, billed as an opportunity to hear Johnson’s story and help support efforts throughout the area, is being held at 7pm on July 27th at Rig Ministries on Industrial Avenue in Carmi. A limited number of VIP tickets including a meet and greet to be held at The Social House earlier in the day are for sale as well. A flyer for the event indicates the event is being sponsored by State Representative Darren Bailey, however additional sponsorships are being sought.
