Five CWC Golfers Advance to Sectionals

This week marked the beginning of the IHSA golf postseason.

On Wednesday, the Carmi-White County Boys Golf team took part in the Hamilton County Regional in McLeansboro. The Bulldogs finished in 4th place with a team score of 337, just 7 strokes behind Hamilton County, Teutopolis and Effingham St. Anthony. The top 3 teams move onto the sectional.

Maxon O’Daniel, Aidan Willis and Cayden Holloman however finished well enough to advance to sectionals.

O’Daniel shot an 80, that tied him for 11th overall.
Willis shot an 83, tying him for 15th overall.
Holloman shot an 84, tying him for 18th place.

Other Bulldog scores included;
Gabe Winkleman shot a 90.
Jax Jordan shot a 91.
Connor Newell shot a 94.

O’Daniel, Willis and Holloman will travel to Waterloo next week for Sectionals.

The Lady Bulldog golf team traveled to West Frankfort on Wednesday for regionals and the Lady Bulldogs just missed the cut, finishing in 4th place behind Harrisburg, Massac County and Mt. Carmel.

Ava Shiever and Courtney Snow are moving on to sectionals. Shiever finished tied for 12th place overall after shooting an 89. Courtney Snow finished tied for 23rd after shooting a 99. Those two ladies will take part in the Taylorville Sectional next week.

Other Lady Bulldog finishers include;
Sadie Balding who shot a 103.
Maeve Atteberry shot a 106.
Kinley Carter shot a 119.
