1939 - 2025
Judith Ann Barlow (Staley) 85 of Cherry Valley, CO passed away December 16, 2024 at University of Colorado Hospital, Aurora, CO Judy was born to Henry and Velma Staley (Pollard) on September 2, 1939. She graduated from Carmi Township High School in 1957 and enrolled at Lockyer’s Business College, Evansville, IN with an interest in office management.
After a short stent of work for Carmi Attorney Stewart Pearce she along with a high school friend struck out for Denver, CO where she was employed by popular Denver Attorney and State Senator Ralph Coale. Judy spent 35 years as Mr. Coale’s Paralegal, Office Manager and Personal Assistant. Upon his passing she and husband Don moved back to Carmi to assist with her mother’s care only to return to Denver eight years later where they settled in Windsor Gardens Retirement Community.
Judy was a kind, compassionate soul with a heart of gold and a loving disposition.
She is survived by husband Don, daughter Heather, granddaughters Hailee, and Kyla as well as two beautiful twin great grandchildren Weston and Winnie, a brother and his wife Mike and Jane Staley of rural Carmi.
She is proceeded in death by her parents and sister Darr Lynn Klomhaus (Staley).
According to her wishes Judy was cremated with internment at Fort Logan Military Cemetery in Denver.
