The Carmi-White County Bulldog wrestlers began the 2023 season with a road trip to Carterville to face the Lions on Monday night.
The Bulldogs fell 52-30.
Gage Anderson and Conner Benham won their matches at 106 and 113 via forfeit.
Kale Wiggins pinned his opponent in the 138 weight class in 2:44.
Jazz Duckworth pinned his opponent in the 144 weight class in 35 seconds.
Nelson Rider pinned his opponent in the 215 weight class in a whopping 10 seconds.
8 of Carmi’s 11 matches were first time wrestlers.
The Bulldogs will be in action again next Tuesday when they travel to Olney.
