A traffic crash in Wabash County Tuesday afternoon sent an Indiana man to a hospital after the motorcycle he was driving was hit head on by a minivan.
The 51 year old man from Patoka was not identified by Illinois State Police. He was airlifted by Life Flight to an Evansville hospital.
According to the initial crash report, 79 year old Marilyn Broster of Grayville was travelling south on Route 1 at 4:25pm when for unknown reasons, the van she was driving crossed the center line and hit the motorcyclist. Broster was cited for improper lane usage and the investigation into the crash continues.
District 19 troopers were assisted at the scene of the accident by the Wabash County Sheriff’s Department, the Bellmont and Keensburg fire department, and the Wabash General Hospital Ambulance Service.
