Sandra Bryant is pleased to make public the following changes in Wabash Christian leadership positions.

Sandra Bryant began her career at Wabash Christian Retirement Center nearly 15 years ago as the Administrator. Under her leadership the community has seen great growth with the addition of a 26 bed Illinois Department of Public Health Alzheimer’s Special Care Unit in 2004, the 49 apartments of Supportive Living in 2007 bringing a new type of senior living with support services to White county, outpatient therapy in 2009 which was relocated to Oak Street in 2014 in the new Wabash Christian Therapy and Medical Clinic which brought needed medical service to Carmi and the surrounding area. Several years ago Sandra was promoted to Executive Director/Administrator due to the addition of many service lines across the community. Over a year ago Sandra and Christian Horizons saw the need to add another leadership position due to this growth.
Andrea May is an RN who began at Wabash Christian as the Clinical Liaison in 2012. She advanced to the position of Assistant Administrator during which time she worked to obtain her Nursing Home Administrator Licensure. She has now moved in to the position of Administrator in which she oversees daily operations at Wabash Christian. Andrea will be in charge maintaining staff and assuring resident and employee safety. She will work to provide quality customer service while ensuring compliance with federal, state, local and corporate requirements.
Cathleen Garner first joined the Wabash Christian team as an activity aide and worked her way up to the position of Memory Care Unit Manager. Now she has stepped in to the position of Supportive Living Residential Services Director, previously held by Tammy Rahmoeller since it opened in 2007. Cathleen is excited to fulfill the new duties at the three story 49 unit Wabash Christian Supportive Living. Her job will be to work as a team member with all departments to create a universal worker atmosphere to assure residents receive optimal care and promote independence.
As Executive Director, Sandra will continue to hold the highest level of authority to make critical decisions involving all Wabash Christian current properties and new building projects. She will be responsible to ensure resident and employee needs are met and maintain systems to operate the overall community effectively and maintain excellent relationships with constituents.
Congratulations to each one of these individuals who will most importantly lead by their example of consistent kindness, understanding, and patience to foster self-respect and worth in each resident and employee to ultimately honor God daily.
