May 1, 1 p.m. – The Southeastern Illinois College Student Art Exhibit reception will be held in the George T. Dennis Visual and Performing Arts Center Art Gallery lobby. This exhibit will be on display from April 18- through the end of the summer semester. May 1, 2 p.m. — Southeastern Illinois College’s Community Choir and Concert Choir perform choral greats during their spring concert in the George T. Dennis Visual and Performing Arts Center. May 13, 4-5 p.m. – Southeastern Illinois College’s Associate Degree Nursing (ADN) students and Practical Nursing (PN) students will have a pinning ceremony in the George T. Dennis Visual and Performing Arts Center (VPAC) theatre at SIC. There will be a light reception after in the VPAC lobby. The ceremony will precede commencement exercises on this day.
May 13, 7 p.m. – Commencement exercises will be held in Joseph Deaton Gymnasium. The 2015 Distinguished Alumnus, Dr. Dana Keating, Vice President for Academic and Student Affairs at Southeastern Illinois College, will be the keynote speaker. A reception will follow in the Harry L. Crisp Student Center.
May 17, 6 p.m. – SIC Board of Trustees meeting in the Rodney J. Brenner Board Room at SIC in Harrisburg.
May 19, 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. – GED Testing will be held at Southeastern Illinois College in A Building, room 144 computer lab. Cost for testing is $120. Registration is online at www.ged.com. For further information, contact Donna Hearn at 252-5400 ext. 3213.
