Feb. 4, 10 a.m. – The U.S. Mint launches the Shawnee National Forest quarter in Southeastern Illinois College’s Joseph Deaton Gymnasium. The public is invited to attend. Admission is free.
Feb. 6, 1 & 3 p.m. — Southeastern Illinois College Falcon Men’s and Women’s basketball vs. Shawnee Community College in SIC’s Deaton Gym. Women’s game at 1 p.m. and Men’s game at 3 p.m.
Feb. 12 and 13 at 7 p.m.– Southeastern Illinois College Theatre presents The Importance of Being Earnest in the George T. Dennis Visual & Performing Arts Center at SIC. Feb. 14, 2-4 p.m. – Senior Community Education Art Class Reception in the George T. Dennis Visual and Performing Arts Center Art Gallery Lobby at Southeastern Illinois College. The art exhibit runs Jan. 20 – Feb 14. Art Gallery hours are Monday- Friday 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Feb. 16, 6 p.m. – SIC Board of Trustees meeting in the Rodney J. Brenner Board Room at SIC in Harrisburg.
Feb. 18, 4 p.m. – Auditions for the musical, Barnum will be held in the music room (F-110) at Southeastern Illinois College. To audition prepare a Broadway style song (1 verse), and a comedic monologue (1 minute). Those auditioning may be asked to read from the script. Auditions are open to the public (high school and above).
