A traffic stop conducted by Carmi Police Monday afternoon resulted in the arrest of two people on drug charges.
A 4:59 pm, Carmi officers stopped a vehicle occupied by 44 year old Adam Kleine of Marion at the intersection of Fairground Road and Main Street. 
Kleine was wanted on a Jackson County warrant and was taken into custody. A search of the vehicle turned up methamphetamine, and Kleine and 47 year old Michelle Shelow of Carmi, were both charged with possession.
Both Kleine and Shelow were transported to the White County Jail, and are being held without bond pending a court hearing.
