42 year old Jason Costa of Enfield surrendered at the Carmi Police Department Tuesday afternoon on a Hamilton County warrant for failure to appear on a deer hunting permit violation. Costa was taken into custody at 4:39 pm and transferred to the White County Jail. He is being held pending the post of a $300 bond.
Carmi Police arrested 37 year old James Omans of Carmi at his First Street residence Tuesday night after receiving a phone call stating that he had made inappropriate sexual comments toward two underage family members. Omans was taken into custody at 8:11 pm and was charged with disorderly conduct. Omans was transported to the White County Jail, and was later released after posting a $150 bond.
