43 year old James Earl of Second Street in Carmi has added to his laundry list of charges and remains behind bars in the White County Jail on $5,000 bail. Carmi Police say they arrested Earl on a White County Warrant yesterday evening just before 5:30pm at his home. That warrant stems from his original arrest for DUI back on August 3rd. When officers arrived to place Earl in cuffs, they found him in possession of a “one hitter” smoking pipe, commonly used to smoke marijuana which led to an additional charge of possession of drug paraphernalia. James Earl is due in White County court on September 5th for a first appearance on these latest charges.
Later in the evening, Carmi Police arrested 28 year old Pierra Durrah of 100 Maple Street at his residence on a warrant for Theft of US Currency. He was booked around 8:30pm and bonded out to $150 cash plus a booking fee less than a half hour later. Online court records haven’t been updated to show when Durrah is due in court.
Not done yet, Carmi law enforcement nabbed one more person last night, this time 23 year old Robert Crocker who lives in the Pineview Apartments. The incident report suggests they arrested Crocker just before 9:20pm on a White County warrant for Aggravated Battery and Battery. He remains behind bars as of Wednesday morning on $1,500 bail for his felony charge.
