Carmi Police conducted a traffic stop on Thursday, during which one individual was arrested, and two others received citations.
According to the report, the reason for the traffic stop was that the vehicle was not using its headlights and taillights.
The driver, Morganfield, KY native Brayden Overfield, was cited for Driving While License Suspended and Possession of Cannabis in a Vehicle by a Driver.
A passenger, Christian Jolley of Carmi, was placed under arrest by the Carmi Police due to a failure to appear on a warrant for a 2022 theft charge. Jolley was also cited for Illegal Transportation of Alcohol and Possession of Cannabis in a Vehicle, both by a passenger.
Lastly, another passenger, Haley Thompson of Mt. Vernon, IN, was cited for Unlawful Use of a Weapon.
Each person has a first appearance scheduled for July 29 at 9:00 a.m.
