Fairfield Superintendent Jill Fulkerson issued a press statement Wednesday afternoon about an incident earlier yesterday involving a student.
According to the statement, two students alerted the school at 2:55pm of a social media post that contained a threat. Fairfield police were immediately contacted and they were able to detain and question the student who made the alleged threat. Since students at the high school had already been dismissed for the day, no action was taken by the school.
No further information about the nature of the threat has been released.
