Wednesday was the wind up Story Hour for our Summer Reading Program at Carmi Public Library. Ranger Mattie from Rend Lake Army Corps of Engineers was our presenter, bringing several mounts of birds found in our region. She discussed food preferences, habits, and feathers of the birds on display. The children then made and took home pine-cone bird feeders. This was the final story hour for the summer. We will resume the Story Hour again the 2nd Saturday in September. Thank you parents and grandparents for your support for our Summer Reading Program. The next activity on our schedule will be game night Thursday July, 27 at 6p.m. for all ages. Games donated by Rhoda’s Doll Emporium.
