40 year old Dustin Pierce of Springerton turned himself into the White County Sheriff’s office on Monday to answer a White County warrant for driving on a suspended license.  Pierce was taken into custody at 8:30am and was later released from the White County Jail after posting a $600 bond.

Just after 1pm, White County deputies took a report of someone stealing gas from a vehicle parked in Maunie. Beth Miller reported that sometime between midnight and noon, an individual stole half a tank of gas from her car, and noted that about a month ago, someone stole gas from her jeep while both vehicles were parked at her residence.

The White County Sheriff’s Department received a report of an abandoned vehicle on private property.  Deputies spoke to an employee of Campbell Farms, who said that the vehicle registered to Bob Butler of Broughton had been sitting on the property on County Road 1100N just west of Epworth Road for at least a week.  S&E Towing removed the vehicle.
