White County Sheriffs authorities made a pair of warrant arrests Tuesday in Carmi. Just before 11am, a sergeant responded to a Maple Street home in reference to a property exchange. The law enforcement officer says he observed the front door of the home open and 46-year-old Angela Goff standing in the doorway, noting he knew she was wanted on a White County warrant for Violation of an Order of Protection. She was taken to jail without incident where she remains until she can be seen by a judge.
About an hour later, the same law enforcement officer says he watched 30-year-old Sally Spivey walk from the gaming room at Gottzz’s through the dining area, exit the business and get into a vehicle before driving off. He says he knew her to be wanted on a White County Failure to Appear warrant and would conduct a traffic stop near Pundrakes. Spivey was taken into custody without incident and she remains jailed until she can be seen in White County court today (Wednesday).
