A Grayville man is headed to prison for twenty years. In April, we told you about 49-year-old Brian Allender who was arrested and charged with Unauthorized Recording after a complaint was signed at the Road Ranger near the interstate. After his arrest, Grayville Police Chief Mason Siegel took possession of the phone and says the subsequent forensic examination of that device showed numerous illicit images involving minors, sexual activity with animals and video recordings believed to have been made inside a public restroom at the interstate convenience store. Those findings resulted in four more counts including Child Pornography, a count of Sexual Conduct with an Animal, and another count of Unauthorized Video Recording. A plea deal was reached which found Allender guilty of Possession of Child Sexual Abuse Material, the most serious Class X felony as well as the original charge of Unauthorized Videotaping charge. The other counts were all dismissed.
Tuesday, Allender was sentenced by Judge T. Scott Webb to 20 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections to be followed by 3 years to life mandatory supervised release. He was also fined $2,000.
