White County Sheriff’s Authorities have made an arrest with regards to burglaries that occurred at White County Coal on Sunday, July 14th as well as Monday, June 24th.
Sheriff Doug Maier says information lead them to the rural residence of 40 year old Danny L. Stephens. The report indicates a vehicle parked at the residence matched the vehicle used in the burglary with several items matching what was taken still in the bed of the truck. After signing a consent to search, officials found several glass smoking pipes with suspected meth and 9 cannabis plants under a grow light. Stephens was subsequently arrested and taken to the White County Jail where bond will be set on a variety of charges. The vehicle sheriff’s authorities believe was involved in the crimes was towed. Stephens is charged with 2 counts of Burglary, Possession of Methamphetamine, and Possession of Cannabis (over 30 grams).
