The White County Sheriff’s Department, Southern Illinois Drug Task Force, Enfield Police Department, and Carmi K-9 unit conducted a search of a Springerton home Tuesday night that uncovered a marijuana growing operation.
White County States Attorney Denton Aud prepared the warrant for 307 Brown Street residence occupied by 61 year old Gary Solterman, who was not present when the warrant was served at 7:25 pm. Inside a shed behind the residence, officers found 59 marijuana plants growing. Also uncovered was an amount of methamphetamine and numerous items of drug paraphernalia.
The seized items were taken into the possession of the Drug Task Force, and a report has been forwarded to the States Attorney’s office for formal charges to be filed.
