Perfect your test-taking skills and update your résumé and cover letter this spring with educational courses through Rend Lake College’s Community and Corporate Education Division.
Students preparing for the SAT test can enroll in SAT Prep with Instructors Andrea Banach and Kathy Patterson. In addition to test-taking skills, this class will focus on reading, English, science, and math skills needed to do well on the SAT test. Students must purchase Barron’s SAT 2016 Edition text, which will be available at the first session for $21.34. The class costs $35 and meets from 6 – 9 p.m. Tuesdays from February 28 through March 28 at the Murphy-Wall Pinckneyville Campus, Room 101.
Finally, get ready for today’s job market by learning about Résumé and Cover Letter Formatting with Instructor Whitney Waldman. Participants will be guided through the basic elements and organizing techniques to create an effective cover letter and résumé that will stand above the rest. The class costs $10 and meets from 5:15 – 7:15 p.m. Tuesday, May 2, at the RLC MarketPlace, Room 338, in Mt. Vernon.
