Rotary members sign up as bell ringers at Thursday meeting

At Thursday’s Rotary meeting, Don Winkleman of the Salvation Army, came to speak. He noted that when the bell ringing started in the year 2000, around $4,400 was raised. In 2015, over $20,000 was raised. He noted that the Rotarians collected more last year than was collected in 2000 in total. He told the Rotarians about the large need for help in the county. After Don spoke, the Rotarians signed up to ring the bell on Saturday, November 26th.

In club business, White County Build will meet at 7:30 at the new Lion’s Den on November 22. There are a few projects that need to be planned for December. Dale Peters named Kelly Pyle the phantom. Andy Williams won the honor of selecting the pink ball in the 50/50 drawing and did so to take home the large pot. Andy Williams and Little Giant prepared a delicious Thanksgiving meal for the club. Visitors included Barb Peters with Dale and Pastor Scott Baird with Pastor Randy Douglass. The club meets at noon on Thursday at the First United Methodist Church. Anyone wishing to get involved is encouraged to come help Rotary with the many local projects and charities that are supported.
