At Thursday’s Rotary meeting, Ken Harrelson showed the club how to make cheddar cheese. The process is not hard but does take time. Kenny explained that 2 gallons of milk will make about 2 pounds of cheese. Kenny had several slides depicting the process and brought along samples that he has recently made. He noted that all cheese is white and the yellow cheese that one sees is due to food coloring.

In club business, President Tom reminded members that a representative of the Buffalo Trace Council will be at the meeting next Thursday to pick up scout donations. Also, the spring Trivia contest will be held Saturday, March 19th at 6PM at the American Legion. Teams are encouraged to come participate and win prize money. A 4 person team is a $40 donation. Food sign up sheets were passed around to get ready for this event. Money made in this endeavor goes toward local charities. In the 50/50 drawing, Lynn Stephens was the lucky person to get to draw the correct ball but had to leave early so Helen Sexton drew for her but did not select the pink ball. The large pot rolls over to next week. Andy Williams named Cindy Conley the phantom. Andy Williams and Little Giant prepared a delicious meal for the Rotarians Pictures are provided by Kenny Harrelson. The club meets at noon on Thursday at the First United Methodist Church. Anyone wishing to get involved is encouraged to come help Rotary with the many local projects and charities that are supported.
