Rotary finalizes plans for Saturday’s Trivia Contest

At Thursday’s Rotary meeting, Rotarians finalized plans for the upcoming trivia contest. It will be held this Saturday, March 11 at the American Legion. The bell will ring at 6PM so those planning to play should get there 15 minutes ahead of time. Food snacks and drinks will be provided by the Rotarians. The cost is $40 for a 4 person team. First place will win $100, second place will win $60 and the third place team will win $40. Come have fun with your friends!! Money raised by the club helps support various organizations in our area such as scouting, summer league programs, the children’s home, etc. Questions will be asked from various categories such as the Bible, geography, pop culture, history, sports, and several other categories that will be asked that night.

In club business, Rotarians discussed the relief efforts going on in the aftermath of the area storms. Watch for fundraisers in the area to help those affected and try help those who need it. Sherri Logan named Kent Armstrong the phantom. Lyn Stephens won the honor of selecting the pink ball in the 50/50 drawing but did not so the pot rolls over. Huck’s provided Godfather pizza for dinner. Patrick Haskell was a guest of the club. Rotary club meets at noon on Thursday at the First United Methodist Church.
