Rides Mass Transit District offering rides to polls at no cost for March 20 primary

Rides Mass Transit District will be providing transportation to the polls for the Illinois primary election Tuesday, March 20, to all residents of the RMTD service area.

Residents will be able to ride to the polls on regular existing routes throughout their county on Election Day at no cost to them.

“Being able to transport individuals across the region is something we pride ourselves in each day,” said RMTD operations manager Adam Lach. “This gives us the opportunity to provide a great service to anyone needing a means of transportation to be able to vote and also gives us the opportunity to give back to the communities we are happy to serve.”

Those requesting transportation may contact 844-718-1882 to schedule their transportation. RMTD is the largest rural public transit district in Illinois and transports nearly 685,000 residents annually. To learn more, visit ridesmtd.com.
