Rawlinson Jailed Following Alleged Home Invasion and Battery

Just a day after appearing in White County court on charges of Arson and Criminal Damage to Property, a Crossville man has landed back behind bars after Carmi Police say he broke into an apartment, and struck multiple people with a handgun.  It was about 9:19am Thursday when authorities received a complaint from residents of the 3rd Street apartment that 26-year-old Jeffery Rawlinson had broken in.  At least three people are listed as victims in the alleged assault.  Carmi Police say they tracked down Rawlinson and found him running down Shipley Street.  He was arrested and is now facing charges of Home Invasion, Aggravated Battery with a Weapon, Unlawful Use of a Weapon by a Felon, Criminal Trespass to a Residence (with persons present), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Resisting Arrest.  Rawlinson remains behind bars.
