A Maunie woman remains behind bars as of Monday following her arrest on a Domestic Battery charge she picked up Thursday afternoon. White County Sheriff’s authorities responded to a Morgan Street home just before 3pm Thursday in reference to a physical domestic dispute. Officers would investigate and observe injuries including a goose egg actively growing on a victim’s head. The victim also allegedly had her hair pulled, was hit in the cheek, and had a perfume bottle thrown at her. Officers arrested 40-year-old Jackie Oberlender. She’ll be due in court Monday morning for a first appearance.
