A poker run event was held on Saturday, June 4th to benefit The Guardian Center, Inc. and its programs to help child victims of abuse.
The event, sponsored by Danny’s Pool Room, was held with volunteers and contributions from individuals and businesses. Approximately 25 – 30 riders participated in the event and raised $1200 for the Center. In addition to the run itself, participants were treated to breakfast in the morning and barbecue in the evening. 
Businesses making donations or contributions to the event included Danny’s Pool Room, Rector and Hailey Printing, Koerner Distribution, Golden Eagle Distributing, Breakthru 
Beverage Group, S.W.S Distributors, Huck’s, WRUL/WROY, East Side Package, Friends at White County Coal, Professional Auto Parts, Tri-State Butane, DiMaggio’s Pizza, Rock Bottom, Jeff’s Car Care, Little Giant, Fourth Street Pizza, McDonalds, and donations from James Clark, David Smith, Monty & Mel Applin, Mark Browning, Scott Trammel, Irma O’Dell, Danny Deaton, and Mike Flemming. Individuals helping with the event included Linda Roberts, Barb & Larry Fleck, Vicki Clark , Connie Bingman and Nicole Bradfield.
We would also like to thank all the personal donations, bikers, and volunteers who helped make the fundraiser a success.
