
On February 24th, the Wabash County Sheriff’s Office responded to an area in Allendale involving an overturned garbage truck on the side of the road.
The caller stated that the driver of the truck was found in a wooded area near the crash site.
When personnel arrived, along with emergency crews, a comprehensive crash investigation found that the truck was traveling through an “S” curve when it ran off the shoulder and overturned, with the driver being ejected from the vehicle.
40-year-old Jason Miller was treated at the site by the Greater Wabash Ambulance. The ambulance relocated him to Weber Seed Station so he could be transported to an Evansville hospital by StatFlight for minor injuries.
The Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office, Wabash General Ambulance Service, Allendale Rural Fire Protection District, and Sully’s Towing, along with the support of the local community, assisted the Wabash County Sheriff’s Office during the incident.
