The Conservation Stewardship Program (CSP) is a conservation program that encourages producers to address resource concerns in a comprehensive manner by undertaking additional conservation activities; and improving, maintaining, and managing existing conservation activities. CSP provides an annual payment for installing new conservation activities and maintaining existing management systems and practices.
CSP is for working lands and is available on private agricultural lands and non-industrial private forest land. The program provides equitable access to all producers, regardless of operation size or crops produced.
White County SWCD and NRCS are encouraging producers and landowners to apply for the Conservation Stewardship Program (CSP). For further information or application assistance, please contact the office at 618-382-2213 Ext. 3. An application deadline is set for May 7, 2021.
