New Technology Coming to McDougal-Evers

Spectators at sporting activities held in the McDougal-Evers Gymnasium will soon get an enhanced experience thanks to the progressive minds in Mrs. Jara Mitchell’s Digital Media Class and the generosity of First Financial.  70 inch TV Screens will be placed in the gymnasium to play videos throughout games and activities.  In true business fashion, members of the class followed the idea from concept to fruition.

A few of the students prepared a presentation and then decided to pitch the idea to First Financial.  The kids must’ve been convincing.  After consideration, First Financial bought in and will be the sole sponsor of the project.

The screens will display a variety of media from player profiles, Carmi facts and history, local business advertisements and more.  The Digital Media Class will be in charge of keeping the information exciting and up to date for each event.
