The following subjects were arrested by the Mt. Carmel Police Department. All subjects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
03/29/2017-Mt. Carmel Police arrested two individuals and charged them with robbery after police were called to the a fight in progress at 1123 N. Mulberry Street in Mt. Carmel. When police arrived on scene they found a male subject standing in the front yard bleeding from his head. The victim advised he was attacked by two male subjects inside of the residence and they took his wallet and money. Police arrested 38 year old Seneca L. Powe and 33 year old Samuel L. Powe both of Mt. Carmel. It is alleged that the two suspects beat the victim in the presence of two young children. Mt. Carmel Police took protective custody of the children and notified Illinois Department of Children and Family Services. Both subjects charged with endangering the life of health of a child, robbery, and battery. Both are being held in the Wabash County Jail pending the posting of bond.
03/30/2017- Mt. Carmel Police arrested 33 year old Jessica K. Perry of Mt. Carmel after she was observed driving a motor vehicle with a revoked driver’s license. Perry was stopped in the 400 block of W. 7th Street and placed under arrest. Perry was transported to the Wabash County Jail where she was charged with driving while revoked. Perry was held pending the posting of bond.
03/31/2017-Mt. Carmel Police arrested 22 year old Brandon S. Cooper of Mt. Carmel after police responded to the 200 block of W. 8th Street reference a disturbance. When police arrived on scene they located an intoxicated Brandon S. Cooper. Police transported Cooper to the Wabash General Hospital for an evaluation. While at the hospital Cooper attempted to disarm one of the responding police officers. Cooper was arrested upon being released from the hospital and charged with disorderly conduct and attempting to disarm a peace officer. Cooper was transported to the Wabash County and is being held on a $4000.00 cash bond.
04/01/2017-Mt. Carmel Police arrested 39 year old Alvin E. Madison of Princeton after he was stopped by police for a traffic violation. During the traffic stop the responded officer noted that he believed Madison was DUI. After further investigation Madison was arrested and transported to the Wabash County Jail where he was charged with driving while license is suspended, DUI, and operating an uninsured motor vehicle. Madison was also cited under the City ordinance for possession of cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia. Madison was held pending the posting of bond.
Mt. Carmel Police arrested 32 year old Crystal D. Adams of Mt. Carmel after she was observed operating a motor vehicle on a suspended driver’s license. Adams was stopped and placed under arrest. Adams was transported to the Wabash County Jail where she was cited for driving while suspended. Adams was held pending the posting of bond.
Mt. Carmel Police arrested 35 year old Barbara J. Walker of Mt. Carmel after police responded to a 911 call referene a vehicle getting stuck on the railroad tracks near the Eagles on Poplar Street. When police arrived on scene Walker had went into the Eagles. Police made contact with Walker and suspected she was under the influence of alcohol. Walker was arrested and transported to the Wabash County Jail where she was charged with DUI and operating an uninsured motor vehicle. Walker was held pending the posting of bond.
