The following subjects were arrested by the Mt. Carmel Police Department. All subjects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Mt. Carmel Police arrested Lawrence C. Wells, age 53, of Mt. Carmel after he was stopped by a MCPD Officer. The arresting officer knew Wells was driving on a suspended driver’s license. During the arrest the arresting officer found drug paraphernalia on Wells. Wells was transported to the Wabash County Jail where he was charged with driving while suspended and possession of drug paraphernalia. Wells was held pending the posting of bond.
Mt. Carmel Police arrested 19 year old James B. Agnew of Mt. Carmel. Agnew was observed sitting in the passenger seat of a vehicle on W. 5th Street. The arresting officer knew Agnew was wanted on a Wabash County warrant charging him with aggravated identity theft. Agnew was arrested and transported to the Wabash County Jail where he was held pending the posting of $1000.00 cash bond.
Mt. Carmel Police responded to a domestic situation at 1230 N. Walnut Street. When officers arrived on scene they were told two family member’s were in a physical altercation. Police arrested a 17 year old female and 52 year old Sandra J. Iglehart of Mt. Carmel. The juvenile was charged with domestic battery and turned over to a family member. Iglehart was transported to the Wabash County Jail where she was charged with domestic battery and held pending the setting of bond.
Mt. Carmel Police arrested 19 year old Brooke E. Leek of Mt. Carmel after she came to the Wabash County Jail to visit an inmate. When Leek checked into the jail it was discovered she was wanted on a Wabash County warrant. Leek was arrested and held pending the posting of $300.00 cash bond.

Mt. Carmel Police arrested 22 year old Trenton E. Hammond of Keensburg. Police were called to 1413 W. 3rd Street reference a domestic situation. Police were told that Hammond placed his hands on a female victim and tried to prevent her from leaving the residence. The victim was said to have read marks around her neck. Hammond was arrested and charged with domestic battery. Hammond was transported to the Wabash County Jail and held pending the posting of bond.
Mt. Carmel Police responded to the 100 block of E. 2nd Street in Mt. Carmel reference a domestic battery. During the call it was determined a physical altercation took place between a juvenile male and a 27 year old male. Both subjects were arrested and transported to the Wabash County Jail. The 27 year old male was identified as Michael J. Haren of Mt. Carmel. Haren was held pending the posting of bond. The juvenile was charged and later released.
