Mt. Carmel Police arrested David J. May, age 37, of Bridgeport after he was stopped by a Mt. Carmel Police Officer. May was arrested after it was discovered he was operating a vehicle on a suspended driver’s license. During the arrest officers located a smoking pipe containing suspected burnt synthetic cannabis. May was transported to the Wabash County Jail where he was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and cited for driving while license is suspended. May was held pending the posting of bond.

Mt. Carmel Police were called to Buehler’s Buy Low reference a theft. It is alleged that an employee stole money that was found in the store by another customer. Loss prevention reported that Nina L. Wall, age 35, of Crossville, had a family member come into the store to report that she dropped her money while in the store. Wall then provided the family member with the money that was found in the store. A review of the video surveillance shows that the family member is not the person who dropped the money found in the store. Wall was arrested for theft of lost or misplaced money. Wall was arrested and taken to the Wabash County Jail where she was held pending the posting of bond.
Mt. Carmel Police arrested a couple after they were involved in a domestic in the 200 block of W. 8th Street. Police arrested 30 year old John S. Oberg of Mt. Carmel and 19 year old Gabrielle A. Deal of Mt. Carmel for domestic battery. Both subjects are accused of battering each other during an argument. Both subjects were transported to the Wabash County Jail and held pending the posting of bond.

Mt. Carmel Police arrested 22 year old Tyler L. Wade of Mt. Carmel after he was observed in the passenger seat of a stopped vehicle. The arresting officer knew Wade was wanted on a Wabash County failure to appear warrant. Wade was transported to the Wabash County Jail and held pending the posting of bond.
Mt. Carmel Police were called to the Parkview Christian Church reference a domestic situation. Police were told that a Shawn A. Crane, age 35, of Mt. Carmel, placed his hands around a family member’s neck leaving a red mark. The family member was reportedly 8 years of age. Crane was arrested and transported to the Wabash County Jail where he was charged with domestic battery. Crane was held pending the posting of bond.
Mt. Carmel Police arrested 45 year old Danny W. Garrett of Mt. Carmel for DUI. Police stopped Garrett for a traffic violation in the area of 6th and Market Street. Garrett was transported to the Wabash County Jail where he was cited for DUI and operating an uninsured motor vehicle. Garrett was held pending the posting of bond.
