07/06/2017-Mt. Carmel Police arrested 55 year old Rolland S. Hallbeck of Owensville, Indiana after he was stopped by the Mt. Carmel Police for a traffic violation. During the traffic stop it was discovered that Hallbeck was operating the vehicle on a suspended driver’s license. Hallbeck was transported to the Wabash County Jail where he was cited for driving while license is suspended and failure to signal when required. Hallbeck was held pending the posting of bond.
07/07/2017-Clayton S. Kirkman, age 31, of Mt. Carmel was arrested and charged with domestic battery and interference with a domestic battery report after police were called to the 200 block of N. Walnut Street in Mt. Carmel. Kirkman is accused of head butting a family member during a dispute and preventing the family member from calling 911. Kirkman was transported to the Wabash County Jail where he was later released.
Kirkman was then arrested the following day when police were called to the 900 block of Market Street reference to a subject acting suspicious. Police located Kirkman and found him to be in possession of suspected methamphetamine. Kirkman was arrested and transported to the Wabash County Jail where he was charged with possession of methamphetamine. Kirkman was later released from the Wabash County Jail with a mandatory court date.
Kirkman was arrested a third time on July 10. Police were called to the 200 block of Walnut Street after Kirkman returned to the family member’s residence. Kirkman was told not to return and was subsequently arrested for criminal trespass to real property. Kirkman was issued a statement of charge and given a court date of August 7, 2017.
07/07/2017-Mt. Carmel Police arrested 36 year old Wendy M. McKendree of Bicknell, Indiana after the vehicle she was a passenger in was stopped by Mt. Carmel Police. The arresting officer advised he knew McKendree was wanted on a felony warrant out of Wabash County. McKendree was arrested and transported to the Wabash County Jail where she was held on a $300.00 cash bond.
Mt. Carmel Police arrested 18 year old Gloria M. Weir of Mt. Carmel after police located her and 26 year old Bryan M. Potter under the Wabash River Bridge. During the course of the investigation police located drug paraphernalia on Weir. Weir was arrested and transported to the Wabash County Jail where she was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. Potter was cited for possession of cannabis and operating an uninsured motor vehicle. Weir was held pending the posting of bond.
07/08/2017-Mt. Carmel Police arrested 42 year old Timothy M. Wright of Mt. Carmel after police responded to a disturbance in the 400 block of W. 4th Street. When police arrived on scene the victim stated that Wright held her to the ground and placed his hands over her mouth preventing her from yelling. Police arrested Wright and transported him to the Wabash County Jail where he was charged with aggravated domestic battery. Wright was held pending the posting of bond.
07/09/2017-Mt. Carmel Police arrested 23 year old Travis A. Deisher of Mt. Carmel after police went to the 400 block of W. 2nd Street to follow up on a drug complaint. While there police located a female juvenile that was inside of the residence. Deisher attempted to prevent the officer’s from removing the female juvenile from his residence and was arrested for obstruction of justice. Deisher was also cited for possession of cannabis. Deisher was transported to the Wabash County Jail and held pending the posting of bond.
Mt. Carmel Police arrested 44 year old Donald L. Barnett of Mt. Carmel after possice stopped him for a traffic violation. During the traffic stop it was discovered that Barnett was operating the motor vehicle on a suspended driver’s license. A search of Barnetts vehicle lead to the discovery of suspected methamphetamine, a hypodermic needle, and drug paraphernalia. Barnett was taken to the Wabash County Jail where he was charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of a hypodermic needle, possession of drug parphernalia, and possession of cannabis. Barnett was held pending the posting of bond.
