The following subjects were arrested by the Mt. Carmel Police Department. All subjects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
12/27/2016-Mt. Carmel Police arrested 18 year old Austin M. Knust of Mt. Carmel after police were called to a residence in the 500 block of W. 2nd Street reference possible drug activity. During the course of the investigation it was discovered that Knust was in possession of drug paraphernalia and suspected synthetic cannabis. Knust was arrested and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. Knust was transported to the Wabash County Jail where he was held pending the posting of bond.
Mt. Carmel Police arrested 35 year old Korin L. Crosetto of Allendale after she was stopped for a traffic violation in the 600 block of Walnut Street. During the traffic stop it was discovered that Crosetto was operating a motor vehicle on a revoked driver’s license. A search incident to arrest resulted in more charges after narcotics were located in the vehicle. Crosetto was arrested and transported to the Wabash County Jail where she was charged with driving revoked, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, possession of methamphetamine, possession of a hypodermic needle, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of cannabis (ordinance violation) and possession of drug paraphernalia (ordinance violation). Crosetto was held pending the posting of bond.
12/28/2016-Mt. Carmel Police arrested 29 year old David A. Lantz of Mt. Carmel after he was accused of stealing a Monster energy drink from Casey’s in Mt. Carmel. Lantz was arrested and transported to the Wabash County Jail where he was held pending the posting of bond.
Mt. Carmel Police arrested 29 year old Carl P. Pierce of Mt. Carmel after he was accused of violating an order of protection. Pierce is accused of texting a protected person named in the order of protection and when police went to arrest Pierce, they located a prescription pill where he was sitting. Pierce was transported to the Wabash County Jail where he was charged with violating an order of protection and possession of a controlled substance.
12/29/2016- Mt. Carmel Police arrested two individuals on drug charges after they were stopped for a traffic violation. The driver of the vehicle was identified as Brandon L. Banks, age 35, of Mt. Carmel and his passenger was identified as Beau D. Price, age 23, of Mt. Carmel. Police found items used to manufacture methamphetamine inside of the vehicle. Both subjects were arrested and transported to the Wabash County Jail. Banks is charged with operating an uninsured motor vehicle, possession of cannabis (ordinance violation), possession of drug paraphernalia (ordinance violation), possession of drug paraphernalia (State Charges), possession of methamphetamine, possession of precursors, possession of methamphetamine manufacturing material, illegal use of property, and participating in the manufacturing of methamphetamine. Banks was also wanted on a Wabash County Warrant charging him with deceptive practice. Price was charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of precursors, possession of methamphetamine manufacturing material, illegal use of property, and participating in the manufacturing of methamphetamine. Both subjects are being held in the Wabash County Jail pending the setting and posting of bond.
