The following subjects were arrested by the Mt. Carmel Police Department. All subjects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
11/28/2016-Mt. Carmel Police arrested 25 year old Jacob M. Brown of Mt. Carmel after police were called to a residence in the 500 block of E. 7th Street. Police were originally called to the area reference Brown playing his music too loud. The arresting officer reported that Brown refused to turn the music down even though he was warned on two separate incidents to do so. Brown was then accused of violating an order of protection that his neighbor had filed against him. Brown refusal to turn down the music and his contact with a protected person resulted in his arrest. Brown was transported to the Wabash County Jail where he was held pending the posting of bond. Brown was charged with violation of a no contact order and disorderly conduct.
11/29/2016-Mt. Carmel Police arrested 44 year old Starla Galbraith of Mt. Carmel after she was stopped for driving suspended. Galbraith was observed operating a motor vehicle in the 1300 block of W. 9th Street with a suspended driver’s license. Galbraith was arrested and transported to the Wabash County Jail where she was cited for driving while suspended. Galbraith was released after posting $150.00 cash.
11/30/2016-Mt. Carmel Police arrested 60 year old Edward E. Pritchett of Mt. Carmel after the arresting officer observed him operating a motor vehicle in the 200 block of W. 6th Street. The arresting officer knew Pritchett was wanted on a Wabash County failure to appear warrant on a DUI. The arresting officer placed Pritchett under arrest on the warrant and cited Pritchett for no valid driver’s license. Pritchett was transported to the Wabash County Jail and held pending the posting of bond.
12/01/2016-Mt. Carmel Police arrested 35 year old Malissa A. Gher of Mt. Carmel after she was stopped for a traffic violation in the 500 block of Cherry Street. During the traffic stop it was discovered that Gher was operating the motor vehicle on a suspended driver’s license. Gher was arrested and transported to the Wabash County Jail where she was cited for driving while suspended. Gher was held pending the posting of bond.
