Learn valuable, everyday skills and techniques at a continuing education seminar next spring at Rend Lake College. The event, co-sponsored by the Advanced Health Education Center of Texas, is called Mammography: All in a Day’s Work. The seminar will be held from 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. Saturday, April 16, at the RLC MarketPlace in Mt. Vernon.
The seminar title says it all – the topics covered throughout the day can be applied in a technologist’s daily work schedule. Speakers will address a variety of issues, including past and present breast imaging technology, breast cancer and understanding pathology report results, and breast density and other positioning challenges.
At the end of the seminar, attendees will take an in-depth look at a number of complex malpractice cases that have involved technologists.
Attendees can earn eight CE points for participating. For more information, contact Kim Wilkerson, Dean of Allied Health, at 618-437-5321, Ext. 1775, or [email protected].
