The Carmi-White County Lady Bulldog Volleyball team defeated Flora in 2 sets last night, 25-3 and 25-12. Carmi improves to 4-0 to start the season. They will then take part in the NCOE tournament beginning tonight. They’ll battle Thompsonville at 6, and then Eldorado at 8. Then tomorrow, the Lady Bulldogs will take on Hamilton County at 5 PM and then the host Fighting Cardinals at 8 PM.
The CWC boys golf team lost a nail biter today to Flora, falling 167-169.
Maxon O’Daniel and Aiden Willis both shot 40s.
Gabe Winkleman shot a 44.
Cayden Holloman and Connor Newell shot a 45.
Abe Girten shot a 46.
The Bulldogs will host West Frankfort tomorrow.
The CWC Cross Country teams took part in the Hamilton County Invite yesterday.
For the boys,
Lane Connaway finished in 4th place with a time of 17:41.
Luke Bolerjack finished in 17th place with a time of 20:49.
Trey Dixon finished 19th with a time of 21:10.
Ian Mosier finished 33rd with a time of 23:39.
Andrew Benham finished in 1st Place in the JV race with a time of 18:52.
For the girls,
Gabbie Conover finished 16th with a time of 25:24.
Ally Pollard finished in 17th place with a time of 25:49.
Both Cross Country teams will travel to West Frankfort tomorrow.
Today, the CWC Girls Tennis team will travel to Carbondale.
The CWC Girls Golf team will travel to Marion.
The CWC Jr High Baseball team will host Gallatin County.
