The Carmi-White County Lady Bulldogs are Regional Champions!
The Lady Dogs defeated Fairfield yesterday in the IHSA 2A Fairfield Regional Championship by a final score of 9-0 to win their first regional title since 2016.
The Lady Bulldogs move on to the Carterville Sectional where they will play next Wednesday at 4 PM against either Carterville, Chester, or Murphysboro.

The Carmi-White County baseball team had their season come to an end yesterday, losing to Fairfield 1-0 at the Mt. Carmel Regional Semifinal. The Bulldogs finish the year with a 20-9 record.
The Carmi-White County Boys Track team traveled to Webber-Bluford for Sectionals yesterday, and six Bulldogs are heading to the IHSA State Track Meet.
Beck Huff finished in 2nd Place in the 200 Meter Race.
Lane Connaway finished in 2nd Place in the 3200 Meter Race.
Mitchel Edwards placed 1st in High Jump and Triple Jump and 2nd in Long Jump.
The Relay team of Kale Wiggins, Beck Huff, Nelson Rider, and Noah Pollard finished in 1st Place in the 4×1 and 2nd Place in the 4×2.
They will all head to the IHSA Boys State Track Meet in Charleston next week.
At the IHSA Girls State Track Meet preliminaries yesterday, CWC sophomore Torrie Rider placed 12th in Shot Put, advancing her to the state finals.
