ISP District 19 released April special enforcement results, announces May patrols

Illinois State Police District 19 Commander Captain Kelly Hodge has released the results of several special patrols that Troopers conducted during April.

On Saturday April 16, Troopers conducted an Alcohol Countermeasure Enforcement patrol in White County that resulted in one DUI arrest.  Troopers also issued five speeding tickets and 16 written warnings.

An Occupant Restraint Enforcement Patrol or OREP was conducted in White County on Monday, April 18.  Troopers issued 23 tickets, including 15 for seat belt violations and one for a child restraint violation.  Troopers also gave out ten written warnings.

OREP was also conducted in Wayne County on Friday, April 22.  There, Troopers also issued 23 tickets, 17 of which were for seatbelts and one for a child restraint violation.  Six warning were issued.

A Roadside Safety Check conducted by District 19 in Harrisburg at the intersection of Routes 34 and 13 during the late evening hours of Saturday, April 23 into Sunday April 24 netted one DUI arrest, seven registration offenses, and four drivers license offenses as part of 14 citations and 38 written warnings that were issued.

During the month of May, Troopers will conduct Special Traffic Enforcement Patrols in Wayne, White, and Saline Counties, OREP in Wabash, Hamilton, Saline, and Gallatin Counties, and a Nighttime Enforcement Patrol in Saline and Gallatin Counties.
