ISP District 19 ACE and OREP results for March

Illinois State Police District 19 Commander Captain Kelly Hodge has released the results of several special patrols from March.

On March 19th, troopers conducted an Alcohol Countermeasure Enforcement, or ACE patrol, in Saline County which resulted in the issuance of seven citations and 23 written warnings, including two speeding tickets and one for driving on a suspended license.

Another ACE patrol was conducted in Wayne County on March 26th.  That enforcement effort resulted in three drug and alcohol related arrests along with six tickets and 14 written warnings.

District 19 troopers also conducted four Occupant Restraint Enforcement, or OREP patrols during the month.

On March 18th in Wabash County, troopers issued twenty tickets and ten warnings.  Twelve seatbelt citations were during the patrol.

The OREP in Saline County resulted in 21 citations, eleven of which were for seatbelt violations.  Nine written warnings were also issued.

Hamilton County was the focus of OREP on March 25th.  There, 21 tickets including 14 for seatbelt violations and one child restraint violation were issued.  14 warnings were also given out.

And another OREP was conducted in Edwards County on March 28th.  21 total citations, including 16 seatbelt tickets and six warnings were written.

The special patrols were funded by the Illinois Department of Transportation division of traffic safety.
