A transfer articulation agreement between University of Southern Indiana (USI) and Illinois Eastern Community Colleges was approved to facilitate the transfer of graduates from IECC who earn transfer associate degrees to the baccalaureate programs at the University of Southern Indiana. This agreement provides a written record of a continuing relationship centered on a mutually beneficial commitment to serving students. The action was taken at the board’s regular meeting, Tuesday, March 15, 2016, at Lincoln Trail College, Robinson.
The trustees and administration gave special recognition to Drew Halter, Student Trustee, expressing appreciation for his service on the Board of Trustees during the past 12 months. He is a student at Lincoln Trail College and his term on the Board ended with the March meeting. He was presented a plaque in recognition of his service to the Board of Trustees and the IECC district.
Trustees expressed appreciation to LTC President Kathy Harris on her years of service to the IECC District. Her retirement concludes a progressive career that began with IECC in 1981.
Affiliation agreements were approved for the LTC Pharmacy Technician Program with the Lawrenceville CVS, and for LTC’s Medical Assistant Program and the Jasper County Health Department located in Newton.
Trustees approved changes to the District’s Academic Requirements policy to accurately reflect the current practice for addressing students whose cumulative grade point average, after earning 12 credit hours, falls below a C (2.0). When this set of circumstances occur, these students are placed on academic probation.
A change of status was approved for Andrea Pampe, Jobs Advisor at OCC to Coordinator of Financial Aid at OCC, effective May 16, 2016.
A ratification of resignation was approved for Rusty Ruth, Drama/Theater Instructor,
at LTC, effective May 13, 2016.
A ratification of resignation was approved for Veralee Harris, Coordinator of Financial Aid, OCC effective May 28, 2016.
A ratification of resignation was approved for Carmen Jones, Social Sciences Instructor at OCC, effective August 3, 2016.
A ratification of retirement was approved for Michael Ray, Head Men’s Basketball Coach at LTC, effective April 16, 2016.
